A Midlife Re-Alignment - Choosing Dharma over the Daily Grind
My Midlife Wholesome way has me pondering a heavy subject lately: the choice between Dharma and Frustration.
We often reach a point in our 50s where we stop and look around at our professional lives, only to realise something is deeply misaligned.
Perhaps you feel trapped in an empty, passionless job, trading your precious time for minimum wage while feeling undervalued by a boss who doesnt see your worth. Or, perhaps you ar eon the other side fo the coin: working a high stakes, time poor job. Your making great money, but your constantly looking over your shoulder, feeling like an imposter while the stress eats away at your peace.
Do we all feel like this ?? That nagging sense that we are meant for more isn’t a crisis - it is a call to prioritise our Dharma !! In the yogic tradition, Dharma is our soul’s purpose, the unique path we were born to walk.
Choosing to prioritise purpose over frustration doesn’t always mean quitting your job tomorrow. It means shifting your internal compass. It means deciding that your effort, your energy, and your spirit are too valuable to be wasted in spaces that dont respect your light.
In this second half of life, we have the wisdom to choose a more wholesome way. We have the right to seek work - and a life - that feel like an extension of our souls, rather than a weight upon them.

I’m curious - Where do you find yourself on this spectrum today ?
Are you navigating the time poor corporate climb, or are you feeling the quiet pull for something more meaningful ?
